I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. In other words, we’re born and raised hippies. We Californians cannot help it—nature surrounds us. Whenever the city noise was too much, I’d run away with my camera and leave my phone in the car. It didn’t help my parents that we lived behind Mount Diablo State Park (see above).
